Dallas Corp, owner and manager of DJC, has always had a
love for taking the old and making it new.
Back in the early 90's Dallas started out building garden
furniture and then moved into cabinet making from there. He
soon came to the realization that he preferred the art of
finishing furniture and joinery.
"I was doing cabinet making and joinery work in Northland
and then moved to working on super yachts in Whangarei"
says Dallas.
When Dallas found himself in Invercargill he had the
opportunity to work with an award winning joinery company,
Lloyds Joinery, which is where he continued to develop the
craft of furniture finishing.
However with his heart belonging to the North, Dallas headed
back to Northland, stopping on the way in the Waikato. "I
was born up North but when we stopped in the Waikato for a
breather, we loved it so much, we stayed".
Dallas' ultimate goal was to own his own business, and this
came to fruitiion in April 2008.
Now the proud owner of DJC Furniture Finishers, Dallas offers
a wide range of services.
"I get such a buzz from customers who bring in their old
furniture. I love watching them when they come to pick up the
finished product. The looks on their faces are priceless. What
better job satisfaction could you ask for" says Dallas.
